About us
The Busy Thimble is a locally-owned business that was started in 2010 in response to crafters who were looking for fabric and sewing notions in the Bowling Green area. We are dedicated to helping you find exactly what you are looking for.

If you would like to contact us directly about any of our products, we will be happy to answer your questions. To use our toll-free number, call 1-800-439-7719 and ask for the Busy Thimble. You can also send us an email at Busy Thimble. For directions and map, click here.

We can ship most items that we have in stock by UPS directly from our store!

If you need help with your quilting, sewing or knitting project, ask our experienced staff:

Connie has been quilting since 1998, but has been sewing for 38 years. She is a member of the Black Swamp Quilters Guild, which donates quilts to charity. Connie says, "This quilt shop is a very exciting addition to downtown Bowling Green, and I hope it will promote quilting to a new generation."

Ginny is an avid seamstress who is interested in learning quilting techniques. She has worked at fabric stores in Bowling Green and Tiffin, Ohio. She has completed seamstress jobs big and small, even a whole wedding! Ginny says, "I am happy about my transition to the Busy Thimble. I think our combined knowledge of fabric, sewing and quilting is going to make a go of the Busy Thimble. It's a great addition to Bowling Green!"

Tamy learned to sew, knit, crochet and embroider from her grandmothers. She has extensive experience in retail crafts as a salesperson and a buyer. Tamy does both counted and stamped cross-stitch projects, and crochets from patterns in books or patterns she makes as she goes along! Tamy says, "I especially like to embroider as it's like painting with thread."
